TRILOGY OF FAITH I: MOHNEY KEEEEN (2009)

MOHNEY KEEEEN is a work about gang culture, questioning the concepts of  identity, youth, the sense of belonging and community, exclusion, consumerism, cultural disorder and the saturation of over-mediated signs as instilled and promoted in today's world.

Mohamed-El-Haddi poses for the camera, taking some relevant distance from himself, both as an artist and a 'model' in order to produce a narrative which starts from a personal wish (to create and question the very impulse of creating while doing so through the photographic medium and bring in contemporary issues to be tackled through the boundless landscape that is hypermodernism and humanity as a whole.
